Become a content queen and learn my secrets to an effective social media content strategy.
Building go-to brands and creating vibing online communities with social media strategies that actually work (and won't take over your life!)
What do you do when your product is seen as ‘taboo’ or ‘controversial’ and can easily get removed from social media platforms? 😳
This is the reality for business owners who sell sex toys, so they need to get creative with their organic strategy.
You can start to build your community and think of content that your target audience will want to share. The brand Girls Get Off sells sex toys and when they started out they realised that their target market likely wouldn’t share images or their toys or facts about sex to their circles. They created a Sunday confessions segment where their audience write in and talk about what they’ve been up to on the weekend. This brings in funny and out-there stories that gets people sharing the brand with their friends without it being a. potentially awkward conversation about sex toys.
Today on the podcast I talk to Viv who is the co-founder of Girls Get Off and we dive a bit deeper into the journey to starting the brand, more on their strategies for building a large and engaged community and discuss how they navigate advertising a product that Facebook deems as ‘controversial’.
I’m so excited for you to hear this one, there’s some great insight and I think you’ll get a lot out of it 🥰
