It’s a common mistake that I see eCommerce business owners make in that they take too long to outsource. Does this sound like you? 😬
You might be in this situation at the moment where you’ve kind of hit a stagnant point in your business because you’re doing all of the things and you don’t have time to actually grow the business (or have a life). As an eCommerce business owner you should not be doing all of the things, but rather be focusing on the things that you do best. This is most likely product development (or making products if that’s what you do) and growing the business. You need to really step into the role of CEO and outsource the other smaller tasks.
So when should you actually outsource? When you don’t have enough time in the day to spend on growth activity. You’re working in the business and doing crazy hours to get all of the emails replied to, all of the orders packed and shipped, the website updated and taking the product photos. It’s just not sustainable and you’re going to hit that point of burnout.
In the latest episode of the eCommerce Brand Builders Podcast I run through the different tasks that you can outsource, who you can outsource these tasks to, what things to consider when looking to outsource and more juicy tips when it comes to outsourcing so you can get the most out of it.
