I’m coming to you with an honest blog post about what’s been happening in the last few months of Blossom Media, and a few things that are changing (for the better) in the coming months!
As I’ve said before, 2021 was a tough year for me. I definitely had a scarcity mindset for a lot of the year. The constant lockdowns made it hard to have any motivation, let alone think about growing your business. I was investing the bare minimum into my business, and I definitely saw my results stay stagnant because of this 😬
The start of 2022 was also super quiet for my business, which (and this is something I haven’t spoken about before) really freaked me out and had me researching marketing jobs because that seemed like the ‘easier’ option. My freak out could have easily been avoided with some better planning, and a mindset adjustment.
Now, business is super busy and I’ve made the conscious decision to start growing again. This comes with some investments, as growth can’t happen without making a change, and I’m now working 1:1 with both a business coach and a profit coach to create a strategy for my growth and keep me on track to reach my goals. This is something I knew I had to do, but with a scarcity mindset, it is impossible to think about investing properly in your business 👏🏼
So this is where I want you to step back and really think about your mindset. Are you stressed out? Investing the bare minimum in your business because you don’t believe you can grow? Not doing everything in your power to reach your goals? Not making goals that are big enough?
If you resonate with any of that, it’s likely your mindset is aligned with mine back in 2021 and at the start of this year. It is SO stressful to continue to have that mindset, and it’s something that I’ve been able to shift – and I suggest you do too. Business is risky, growth is scary, but if you continue to play small – you will NOT grow!
